Doblmeier sweeps thru the field

     Rai Doblmeier became the 10th Brockton Bowling Association Bowler of the Year on Sunday. He defeated Pat Carrara in the final match 208 to 185. Doblmeier was in trouble early in the match but ran off a bunch of strikes from the 6th frame to the 10th frame and won what was a very entertaining match. Rai became the first champion to win three match in the step ladderfinal. He defeated two former champions to get to the final match. He beat Steve Huntress in the quarterfinal match 247-176. Then he took care of the defending champion Ryan Yelle 223-216. Other bowlers who cashed, Sean Richard who lost to Rai Doblmeier 442-441, Harry Thibeault Jr. who was defeated by Steve Huntress 419-395, Dan Esdale who was beat by Carrara 468-355, and Keith Tantillo who lost to the defending champion Yelle 451-402.
